Manly Beach

Manly City Council called for the complete refurbishment of the Manly Promenade.

In desperate need of a facelift to complement Manly’s natural beauty and in order to protect the enormous volume of human traffic that used this famous strip, Manly City Council was compelled to act.

The Glascott Group managed through to completion this prestigious civil works project. The work stretched for over a kilometre along the promenade and some fifteen metres out to the street.

The Glascott Group completed the Manly Promenade in six months. 

The Glascott Group’s work comprised of

• Three sets of concrete stair type constructions (fanning out for ten metres below the sand level) were constructed to combat sand erosion that was weakening the Manly Promenade
• Paving ran for over one kilometre
• Electrical cabling for overhead lighting
• Retaining walls
• Concreting
• Concrete edging
• Bitumen paths
• Brick paths
• Street furniture
• Showers
• Playground equipment
• Tree planting
